Editor’s note: Our contributor, Ed Sullivan attends the launch of Stoneleigh Quay Pop Up Wine Bar.
A little piece of Marlborough was the inspiration for Stoneleigh Quay, showcasing one of New Zealand’s premium wine makers, which was launched last Wednesday, 30th of October and running for eight weeks.
Stoneleigh Quay, East Circular Quay*
The vines at Stoneleigh’s exceptional vineyards are planted in the stones left by an ancient riverbed in Marlborough. Stoneleigh wines express the warmth of these sunstones in their fruit, producing fresh, clean and vibrant flavours, a true expression of their place and time.

Complimentary tasting menu of the night were Marlborough Chardonnay 2012, from the Vineyard Series and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough Pinot Gris 2013, Marlborough Pinot Noir 2012 all from their super-premium Stoneleigh Rapaura Series.
