Campo Viejo Wines Invite Australians to Live Uncorked

Campo Viejo, Spain Winery of the Year has launched nationally in September 2019.

Campo Viejo

Campo Viejo is the #1 brand from the Rioja region which is famous for Tempranillo, and has six times been awarded “Spain Winery of the Year” at international competitions.

Campo Viejo

The brand is inviting Australians to ‘Live Uncorked’ as explained by the global ambassador, Federico Lleonart. “Campo Viejo embodies the colour and vibrancy of modern Spanish culture and we are excited to invite Australians to join us to ‘Live Uncorked’.” This means embracing life with passion and creativity and welcoming friends to share a glass of wine.

“To be welcoming in Spain is to open your doors and arms with hospitality, spontaneity and inclusivity. It’s to be social, to share, and be present in every moment giving your full attention and warmth to the people you are with.”

The brand has also partnered with Mercado Head Chef Jason Dean who specialises in Spanish cuisine and is delighted to help Aussies prepare some simple dishes at home. “Spanish cuisine is a reflection of the country’s culture – colourful, expressive of the ingredients and full of strong flavours. It’s perfect for spontaneous entertaining as many of the ingredients like Jamon, cheese and pickled peppers keep well in the fridge so you can easily pull together some tapas and a grazing plate that will match perfectly with fresh vibrant wines.”

The range launching in Australia comprises the following wines:

  • Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo 2017 (RRP $22): a vibrant pure expressive red
  • Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva 2014, (RRP $27): elegant, balanced red; aged 3 years
  • Campo Viejo Rioja Gran Reserva 2012, (RRP $40): deep, smooth red; aged 5 years
  • Campo Viejo Cava Brut Reserva NV (RRP $27): sparkling white; method traditional
