Which pairs best, beer or wine? You can be the judge. Sydney Brewery in Surry Hills is holding the first of their Beer vs Wine showdown dinners on Friday 6 March with Nova Vita winery from the Adelaide Hills showcasing their best wines against the brewery’s great beers.

Sydney Brewery Surry Hills chef has designed a delicious three-course meal where each course will be paired with one wine from Nova Vita and one beer from Sydney Brewery. And they’re asking you to help decide the ultimate winner on the night!

If you’ve been to any Sydney Brewery events before, you’d know they’re generous with their offerings. Here’s a snapshot of the menu which will be served on the night:

Canapé – Peking duck rillettes with shiitake on toast
Paired with Single Hop Blonde -AND- Firebird Sauvignon Blanc

Starter – Lomi lomi salmon and Prawn tartar with chili and lime salsa
Paired with Glamarama Summer Ale -AND- Firebird Saignee Rose

Main – Beef, beetroot and black bean ragout with wasabi mash
Paired with Pyrmont Rye IPA -AND- Firebird Sangiovese

Dessert – Fig pavlova with marmalade Ice cream and pineapple carpaccio
Paired with Sydney Cider -AND- Firebird Sparkling Pinot Noir Blush
