The tricolour vespas outside the pop-up bar had to be a clue. Or were they a clever decoy to maintain the suspense. At the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project Swap Event last night, the announcement was made that for one night only, on 12 November, Australia will be swapping nightlife with Italy.
Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project Swap Event
The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange (SNE) is an annual worldwide event which brings together 50 countries that swap nightlife with one another. Madonna will be attending the event at the New York celebration where she will select the global winner of the dance competition.

Junior Jack & Kid Créme and Alex Gaudino will headline the Italian-inspired Australia event in November, while Australian group Nervo and Bang Gang Deejay’s will head over to Italy.
Anna Lunoe announcing… Italy
Anna Lunoe, DJ and Australian ambassador for Smirnoff NEP made the announcement before handing over the bar to renowned mixologist Max Greco of Eau-de-Vie Bar for Italian-themed cocktails.

Nonna Smith, made with Smirnoff 21 Vodka, pressed granny Smith apple, pear puree, lemon juice and sugar syrup kicked off the evening, with guest participation in cocktail making.
Zenzero Genoa
Zenzero Genoa was the next cocktail made with Smirnoff 21 Vodka, lemon juice, ginger beer and a dash of creme de cassis for colour.
Max Greco of Eau-de-Vie Bar making Zabaglione
Much like the St Patrick’s Day cocktails at Eau-de-Vie Bar, it was all nitro and safety gear for the Zabaglione cocktail, made with a good dose of espresso, Smirnoff 21 Vodka and coffee liqueur, topped with cream.

Looks like a fun night. Gotta love nitro cocktails!
I couldn’t stop watching them make the cocktails – I’d love to give it a try one day!
Italy would be cool if they were to do a vintage theme from the 50s.
Good review, Ms G 🙂
Ooh, yes, that would be a lot of fun with the hair and costumes! Thank you 🙂

Just what I need now! Looks wonderful.
They were delicious! One of those is enough… the caffeine kick is too strong if you want to get some sleep! 🙂
Well, it looks like another night of fun and frolics for Gourmantic! 😉 What a fab idea. I wonder if Turkey gets involved in any of this…
Julia
Indeed it was… 😉 I’ll have to look at the flags and see if Turkey is included…
