Vote for Time Out’s ‘Time In Awards’ Sydney & Melbourne

Time Out Australia has launched the Time In Awards, a reader-voted celebration of the best responses to the 2020 lockdown in Sydney and Melbourne.

Time In Awards

Since pivoting to Time In back in March, Time Out’s editors have been reporting on a whole new range of events: from livestreamed concerts to home-delivered cocktails; virtual tours to online parties; fine dining at home to charitable causes.

“We’re looking forward to creating some noise to help kickstart the recovery,” said Time Out Australia Managing Director, Michael Rodrigues. “By voting, readers can show their support to those businesses in hospitality and the arts that need it the most.”

Time In Awards

The editors have compiled a list of worthy nominees in more than 20 categories. These include:

  • Favourite Restaurant Reinvention
  • Favourite Digital Arts Platform
  • Favourite Ooh-worthy Animal Livestream
  • Favourite Cocktail Delivery Service
  • Favourite Cheerer-Upper
  • Community Service Award

“One thing that has become clear over the last eight or so weeks has been our audiences’ support for the businesses that make life in a city worthwhile – even when ‘Out’ isn’t an option,” Rodrigues said. “The Out economy has innovated, adapted and faced challenging times with grit and determination, doing their collective best to bring Out, In.”

Nominees for the Time In Awards can be voted on by the public via the Time Out Sydney website and Time Out Melbourne website. Because these are inclusive awards, Time Out readers have the option in every category to write in their own nominees if they don’t agree with the editors’ selection.

The award winners will be announced in two special events on Time Out’s Instagram Live feeds on Tuesday June 2, 6pm (Time In Awards Melbourne) and 7pm (Time In Awards Sydney).
