NSW Food and Wine Festival 2015

The NSW Food and Wine Festival launched last night at LuMi Restaurant in Pyrmont ahead of a festival bringing a host of events that celebrate the best in local food, wine and produce.

Guests were welcomed with a selection of wines from Hungerford Hill, Ross Hill Wines from Orange and Logan Wines ahead of a feast of delicious canapes from the Lumi kitchen.

The 2015 NSW Food and Wine Festival runs from February 7 to March 1. Highlights include:

A special edition of The Sydney Morning Herald Growers’ Market will be held on Saturday 7 February in Pyrmont with chef Matt Moran on stage deminstrating recipes from his book paired with NSW wines hand-selected by Aria sommelier Matt Dunne.

Much like the Night Noodle Markets, the brand new Lunar Markets will come to Pyrmont Bay Park from 12-22 February for an 11 day festival celebrating Asian cuisine and culture. Stall include Manly’s Daniel San, Fat Noodle from The Star, Hoy Pinoy, Poklol and Bao Stop. Sapporo Beer will be available as well as Moutai, a baijiu and China’s national spirit.

Sydney Cellar Door will return to Hyde Park from February 27 to March 1 with wineries such as Ross Hill Winery, Hungerford Hill Wines, Logan Wines, Phillip Shaw Wines, Tulloch Wines, Bimbadgen, Brokenwood Wines and A.Retief Wines. Food stalls include Bloodwood, Via Napoli, Porteno and Salts Meats Cheese.

A series of popular events such as Dine with NSW Wine, Sticky and Sweet, Sparkling Brunches and High Teas, Taste the Region, and Snacks and Street Food will also be part of the festival.

The NSW Food and Wine Festival is launch was held at LuMi in Pyrmont on Thursday 5 February 2015.
