Coogee Beach Fireworks: New Year’s Eve 2011

Coogee Beach put on a spectacular 20 minute fireworks display to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. Starting at the family-friendly time of 9 pm, darkness had not yet set before the sky was set ablaze with fireworks that painted the sky with colour and movement.

For the first year, a sea of people lined up both the promenade and spilled onto the sand for what appeared to be a record crowd. Many had arrived early in the day to secure a spot and had set up tents on the adjoining parks.
