Welcome to 2012! We hope you all had a wonderful festive season, indulged in good food and raised a few glasses in celebration of the New Year.
Since our last article on December 23, we have been enjoying a short break to recharge the batteries after a hectic and successful year. Our Christmas escape, or rather, “Escape from Christmas” on Avoca Beach was followed by quality time catching up with good friends from out of town and abroad.
During our break, we’ve put away our DSLRs and notebooks and simply enjoyed ourselves. But there were a few travel and food experiences that we will be sharing, even if it means posting iPhone snaps with brief reviews.
We also had the opportunity to do a little thinking and make some changes. We’ve updated information about us, our growing Portfolio and revisited the Media/PR page with information on what is featured in our content going forward. So check them out, particularly if that information is of interest to you. We are also in the process of revising our Advertising policy and will update it shortly.
On an exciting note, we are launching a newsletter with a digest of tasty gourmantic morsels. We’re in the final design and coding stage but it will be ready shortly. Why not be among the first to subscribe to our newsletter!
We have several travel, food and drink articles already in progress, and we’re aiming to balance our content between the three elements that make up the core of Gourmantic. At times, we’re likely to post more than once a day, so be sure to subscribe to our RSS feed, Like us on Facebook, and sign up for email updates so you don’t miss out.
Right now, lazy days are calling. There’s more beach time to come, good food, lots of cocktails and Martinis to be sipped!
How did you celebrate the festive season?
Looking forward to a great 2012 and many a run-in 😉
looking forward to seeing the changes that 2012 will bring to the site! happy new year!
Good luck with all your 2012 updates to the blog. We had great plans until our internet went down. Our 2012 started a few hours ago when the internet was reintroduced to our abode. Looking forward to your Gourmantic 2012. 🙂
