Remember last year’s Bacon Festival? It’s back again for 2016, this time starting with one big day launch event you wouldn’t want to miss.
Bacon Brewfest will be spread at Central Park and within aMBUSH gallery’s space at the mall featuring chefs and venues including Black Star Pastry, The Stinking Bishops, Mr Bao, Textbook Boulangerie, Mak Mak Macarons, Grumpy Donuts, Tsuru Food Truck, Pialligo Estate and more.
Beer tastings will be provided by popular breweries 4 Pines, Feral Brewing, and Willie the Boatman, and a festival bar will be curated by the boys from Ramblin Rascal Tavern. There will also be a one-off bacon collaboration born between’ Anna Polyviou and N2 Extreme Gelato.
The one day launch will take place at Central Park on Saturday February 27 from 12pm until 9pm.
For 12 weeks, starting on Sunday February 28, Newtown cafe Cuckoo Callay is bringing back its Bacon Festival, sourcing its produce from farms in NSW that engage in sustainable and ethical practice, in an effort to support local pork.
