In case you haven’t had enough chicken, the team behind Mr Crackles have opened Thirsty Bird in Potts Point with a focus on, well… chicken. They come whole, in halves and inside buns with a range of sauces and mayo. Shop 3, 2014 Bayswater Rd, Potts Point

Belle’s Hot Chicken Morgan McGlone is set to lead the kitchen at Harpoon Harry as he takes on a residency as the food curator for 2016 in April. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on the menu.

Barista & Cook Café (pictured above) has opened in Waterloo with a focus on fresh, wholesome food. A dedicated brew bar serves filter and pour over coffee such as Chemex and V60 using single origin beans. 834 Bourke St, Waterloo

Looking for a vegetarian restaurant? Yellow by Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt in Potts Point has shifted to an all-vegetarian menu with small plates designed to be shared and a set menu on Saturday evenings. 57-59 Macleay Street, Potts Point

Guillaume Brahimi will open his first Bistro Guillaume in Sydney’s CBD in 2016 and will also oversee the new Four In Hand.

Innuendos and ice cream seem to be the theme at Good Times in Potts Point by chef Nathan Sasi. The ice creamery has teamed up with Christine Mansfield for the opening with a Mardi Gras theme. Get licking at 87B Macleay Street, Potts Point

It’s a little early but once Noma’s tenure ends, the Bentley team will occupy that space at Barangaroo. The yet to be named restaurant is said to have a focus on seafood.

Mexican favourite, Los Vida is spreading its wings to Melbourne opening at St. Collins Lane in the first quarter on 2016.

After a long tenure at Balmain, Manjit’s has opened at King Street Wharf bringing regional Indian cuisine to the heart of Sydney. Read review of Manjit’s at the Wharf here.

Publica Group, the team behind Clubhouse Rosebery, Goldfish Hunter Valley has also opened a beachside bar and eatery, Henrys in Cronulla. Sharing menu includes Kingfish, finger lime, chives, mandarin, burnt chilli oil and a 500g Wagyu Flank MS5+, pancetta wrapped baked Enoki and truffled butter. 1 Ocean Grove Ave, Cronulla

The Oxford Circus, a 3 level venue from the team at Low 302 has opened in Darlinghurst with cocktails and live music on the theatre level. Other levels to open soon. Wednesday through Saturday, 7PM till 3AM.  231 Oxford Street Darlinghurst

Sydney’s bacon festival is back, launching with Bacon Brewfest on February 27 at Chippendale’s Central Park and continuing the next day at Cuckoo Callay in Newtown with a 12-week bacon menu featuring eight ways to eat bacon.

The Barber Shop is set to open another venue at Barangaroo on 1st April 2016. More details to follow.

Barrio Chino in Kings Cross will close its doors in March and will be replaced by Barrio burger and fries pop-up in early April.
