Woodford Reserve National Competition Final 2015

The Woodford Reserve National Competition Final 2015 was held last night at Grain Bar in Sydney. I had the pleasure of judging the final with Master Distiller Chris Morris and Grant Shearon of Brown-Forman.

Four contestants competed for the title with Thalita Alves (QLD) of The Gresham in Brisbane coming in first place and winning $1500.

The other three contestants, Ryan Gavin (NSW) of Rockpool Bar & Grill, David Stucken (WA) of Varnish on King and Blake Hall (VIC) of Woods of Windsor impressed the judges so much with their creativity that they were all awarded equal runners up. They each won $600 and a bottle of Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Classic Malt.
