Whisky Jerx, Paddington

What do you get with three talented bartenders, a nationwide whisky bartender competition and live music with local acts?

Whisky Jerx.

Reece Griffiths, Ben Blair and Lee Potter Cavanagh will be at the wheel of Whisky Jerx, a pop up bar inspired by the fun rock aesthetic of Wayne’s World. You’ll find them at the basement level of the Unicorn Hotel in Paddington slinging fun drinks and good times.

The trio entered the national Monkey Shoulder Ultimate Bartender Competition where they had to perform a series of challenges and pitch their idea to a team of judges (Gourmantic was one of the judges) – they won the grand prize.

You can expect “10 magically babelicious spirits”, quick-fire cocktails and a lot of bar chat.

Whisky Jerx pop-up bar will run from 6pm to midnight Wednesdays to Sundays with the party continuing upstairs at the Unicorn until 3 am. Best of all, the venue is out of the lockout zone.

Whisky Jerx opens on 25 February for 8 weeks of….schwing!!
