The Museum of Sydney Café (MoS Café) played host to the launch where guests and media were treated to Veuve Cliquot Champagne and a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and jam, mini cakes and tartlets, chocolate dipped strawberries and pistachio macarons.
Virgin Atlantic High Tea
The Virgin Atlantic High Tea is presented on a two-tiered stand and consists of scones with jam and cream, mini cupcakes and finger sandwiches. Passengers are given a cafetiere or tea pot with a selection of herbal and fruit teas.
Belinda Gurd (Virgin Atlantic) and Michelle Milton (High Tea Society)
Michelle Milton, founder of the High Tea Society and guest speaker at the launch, stated that the unusual setting at 35,000ft provides a modern twist on this British tradition.
Virgin Atlantic’s new Upper Class meal service is available on all routes. The new High Tea meal service will be served on-board the A340-600 which flies to London daily.
