The Time Out Sydney Bar Awards returned for the fourth time to celebrate the winners of this year’s awards and the launch of the 2012 Time Out Bar Guide.
Sydney came out to celebrate a vibrant and growing bar scene which has flourished due to the passion, skill and dedication of its bartenders.
The Awards took place at a brand new Taylor Square venue, The Standard, upstairs from Lo Fi in Darlinghurst with Chef Lennox Hastie (ex Spain’s Etxebarri) and John Fink (Quay, Otto) taking to the pop up kitchen.

Host Greg Fleet started the Awards ceremony with each nominee in every category receiving a rousing cheer which was excelled every time the winner was announced.

The evening’s entertainment included contortionist Billie Bradshaw, hula hooper, Bunny Hoop Star and singer Fanny Lumsden.
The bar served Little Creatures beer, Pipsqueak Cider, Buffalo Trace Maple Old Fashioneds, Ultimat vodka Martinis and Green Fairy Punch.
