The Blend by Chivas Experience Launches in Australian Bars

Chivas blended Scotch whisky is launching The Blend by Chivas, a set of blend your own whisky experiences across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast this November.

These guided tasting sessions give guests the tools to get hands-on and experience the art of blending whisky whilst creating their very own 200ml blend to take home.

The one-hour experience includes a Chivas signature cocktail on arrival, a full blending experience, some nibbles to enjoy, and your very own blend to take home. Guests can experience The Blend by Chivas in some of Australia’s top bars across the three cities in November, January and March, including: The Wild Rover, The Doss House, East Village and The Roosevelt in Sydney, The Everleigh, Beneath Driver Lane and The Espy in Melbourne, and finally Cloudland, The Gresham and The Scottish Prince in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

The Blend by Chivas

During the experience, whisky lovers enjoy a complementary Gold Fashion cocktail upon arrival, featuring Chivas Extra XV, and are taken through the art of blending by Chivas Brand Ambassador, Hollie Atkinson, as they taste four single malt whiskies and one single grain whisky each representing a different flavor characteristic of the traditional Chivas blend floral, fruity, citrus, creamy, and smoky. Armed with a pipette, beaker and a glass of one of the world’s best-loved blended Scotch whiskies, Chivas 12, for inspiration, guests are encouraged to explore, experiment and have fun testing their skills and senses to delicately combine the whiskies and craft a blend worth shouting about.

Chivas’ belief in blending was instilled by founding brothers, James and John Chivas, who pioneered the art in the 19th century in Scotland. And now, two centuries later, the Blend experience celebrates Chivas’ continued commitment to bringing together the best malt and grain whiskies to create something extraordinary.
