It’s Sunday. You’ve woken up late after a big night and your thoughts turn to… the hair of the dog. Head over to Moya’s Juniper Lounge in Redfern for their new brunch offering.

If you haven’t been to Moya’s yet, you’ve been missing out one of Sydney’s new small bars with a gin focus and a collection of over 80 gins spanning the globe. Read our review of Moya’s Juniper Lounge here.

Starting July 31 between 12pm and 4pm, Moya’s Juniper Lounge will be serving a brunch menu where the Red Snapper, a gin-based Bloody Mary takes centre stage.

Moya’s Juniper Lounge
Red Snapper

The Red Snapper ($18) is made with gin, freshly-juiced tomatoes, a house-made jalapeno-habanero pickle brine and black onion stock making it healthy and vego-friendly. The drink delivers a strong spicy kick from the jalapeno-habanero pickle brine and if like it even hotter, you only need to ask.

Moya’s Juniper Lounge
Smoked Snapper Sandwich

Pair it with a Smoked Snapper Sandwich ($9), where you sink your teeth into Smoked Snapper Rillettes on a miniature brioche bun and you’ll feel great in no time.

Moya’s Juniper Lounge
Manzanilla Sherry

Other brunch menu items include ‘i think’ manzanilla sherry ($11), which goes down beautifully after a Red Snapper, Mornington brown ale ($11) and Kalleske ‘Plenarius’ Viognier ($12), a natural wine from the Barossa Valley in South Australia.

The ‘brunch’ menu runs from noon until 4pm on Sundays then the full cocktail menu is available from 4pm until 10pm close.
