Part of the NSW Food & Wine Festival, the inaugural Lunar Markets is an open air pop-up food festival running for 11 nights and coinciding with Chinese New Year.
The mini version of the Night Noodle Markets is located at Pyrmont Park Bay directly opposite The Star and Pizzaperta.

You’ll find about 20 Asian-themed food stalls including Hoy Pinoy offering smokey Filipino barbecued chicken and pork on a stick, Bao Stop with baos filled with braised pork, duck and fried chicken, and Bar Pho‘s trademark phumplings, a curious combination of pho-flavoured dumplings.
Follow your nose to Daniel San of Manly for their chicken and pork robata skewers, grab some gyoza from Zagyoza and the popular Korean Twisted Potato that you can order with a mix of flavours.
Taking centre stage is the Moutai stand offering free tasting of baijiu, a spirit made from sorghum. Order a Moutai cocktail, put on your best “Moutai Face” and use the appropriate hashtag for a chance to win a bottle. You’ll also find Bartlow Cider and Sapporo beer.
Stop by The Star’s tree and select an enveloppe for good luck. You may find a worthy surprise or merely chocolate coins.
The Lunar Markets are currently in full swing and run until Sunday 22 February 2015.
