Laphroaig Live 2012

Laphroaig Live 2012 will be broadcast live from Nuremberg, Germany during this year’s Oktoberfest on Thursday 27th September 2012 and we will be streaming it live right here on Gourmantic.

Last year, Laphroaig Live 2011 was held in Sydney for the first time, and Gourmantic had the pleasure of attending the event which included live tastings of the popular peated single malt.

This year, there will be live tastings of the Laphroaig 10 year old, the Laphroaig Quarter Cask and this year’s Cáirdeas. There will also be a tasting of a Highland peated malt from Laphroaig’s sister distillery, Ardmore, and an Irish peated malt, Connemara, also from their sister distillery in Ireland.

Joining the panel is Laphroaig Distillery Manager, John Campbell, whom I had the pleasure of interviewing last year. He will be accompanied by master blender Robert Hicks, Bernhard Schäfer, whisky writer and Master of the Quaich and Pierre Thiebaut, founder of whisky fan site Connosr.com.

You can watch Laphroaig Live stream on our specially designed page HERE on Thursday 27th September 2012 at 21:00 CET, UK 8pm and for Sydney on Friday 28 September 2012 at 5am. Join us as we raise a glass of one of our favourite peated drams, Slainté!
