In a prelude to Valentine’s Day and coinciding with a leap year where women traditionally propose marriage, the Hendrick’s Gin Refined Courtship Clinic returned to Sydney with valuable etiquette tips to both singletons and couples.

Did you know that the etiquette gland hides somewhere between the liver and the pancreas and is responsible for the amount of social graces one has? And like any glad, it needs to be exercised for growth and improvement.

Audience participation was sought as the charming Dr SixWivs demonstrated the art of proposing on bended knee, but the lady in question was betrothed to another.
Victorian standards may be at odds with the 21st century but Hendrick’s know how to present a well-rounded approach to social etiquette.
The complimentary courtship sessions were preceded with a refreshing Hendrick’s Gin and Tonic, served in fine bone china Hendrick’s cups with a cucumber garnish.
Naturally, a selection of afternoon tea sandwiches, cup cakes and shortbread biscuits complemented the occasion.
Hendrick’s Gin is made with infusions of Cucumber and Rose petals, producing a refreshing gin with a floral aroma suitable for any time of the day. Distilled in Scotland, in mini-scale batches of only 450 litres at a time, it is the only gin made in a combination of a Carter-Head and copper pot-still, making it a smooth gin with a fine balance of subtle flavours.
The Hendrick’s Gin Refined Courtship Clinic was set up in temporary premises where the attention to detail was impeccable. Red velvet drapes, a grandfather clock, a bathtub of Henrick’s Gin, and even a microscope for the Doctor and a rocking chair for Grandma have undoubtedly put Dr Humphrey SixWivs & Mrs Isabella Folornicate well at ease in these elegant surrounds.
