Christmas Cracker, a Christmas themed pop-up restaurant with a northern hemisphere Yuletide setting, opened on Level Three of Westfield Sydney this week.

The highlight of the pop-up is the gingerbread bar, made with over 400 squares of gingerbread designed and baked by the Chef Justin North‘s Bécasse Bakery team.

Combining food, festivities and bubbles with a shopping experience, Chef Justin North of Bécasse Restaurant has created a signature Christmas tasting plate called the Four Tastes of Christmas.

Miniature crab and prawn mayonnaise sandwiches, Macleay Valley suckling ham, a fruit mince pie and tropical fruit pavlova can be enjoyed with a glass of Champagne Mumm Cordon Rouge for just $15.

On Friday December 9, the pop-up launched with the team from the reality TV show Bondi Rescue in attendance during lunchtime, offering shoppers and passers-by a photo opportunity.

Yes you have reminded with the Mumm Champagne that New Years should include a few bottles. Also great ideas for food for that evening. Keep up the good work but someone has to do it!
I like the versatility of champagne and how it goes well with most food. Cheers to all the ‘good’ work! 🙂
Oh, oh, oh, I’ve not got a sweet tooth but gingerbread is a favourite. A gingerbread bar – wow! And $15 for champers and nibbles. Not bad! I somehow think Fethiye is a long way from putting on events like this. 🙂

The bar is amazing! And for $15, it’s great value to make a stop in between shopping. Hopefully you’ll make it here one day and I’ll show you around 🙂

Wow! What a cool gingerbread bar!
I hope it comes back next year!
That’s actually a pretty good deal! Crab and prawn sandos with Mumm? Yes please!
Great value, isn’t it… and we all know what comes out of the Bécasse kitchen!
The gingerbread bar looks incredible!!

The gingerbread bar looks amazing! I wonder how long it takes to bake 400 gingerbread bars.
… and put them together! They’ve done a great job all round!
I think I can smell that gingerbread all the way in California. It looks so festive. Thanks also for continuing to provide us with such gorgeous photos, of the food and more 😉
Thanks for your ‘gorgeous’ comment, Kathy 😉
