ABSOLUT MODE Edition launched in glamour and style at Jackies Café in Paddington on Thursday 13 October 2011. The limited edition vodka bottle is the latest to join the collection of design concepts from ABSOLUT that began in 2006.
Made up of sixteen facets wrapped with a band of dark blue silk with embroidered text, the elegant bottle pays homage to 25 years of fashion collaboration with designers such as Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, John Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace.
Jackies Café in Paddington was transformed into an intimate bar with an open rooftop and a hub of chic and dapper style with several Australia designers in attendance.
At the Intersection Shopping Precinct in Paddington, stores such as Ginger & Smart, Camilla and Marc were lit up with blue lights to celebrate the launch with other designer shops displaying the elegant bottles.
Mark Cavanagh, Director of Cav Con, introduced a short video looking back at ABSOLUT’s association with fashion designers with David Bowie’s song, Fashion, as soundtrack.
Guests were treated to a selection of prosciutto-wrapped crostini, rolled sushi pieces, teriyaki chicken along with ABSOLUT cocktails adorned with a rose petal or a slice of cucumber. ABSOLUT MODE Edition bottles glowed in the night as the DJ played music from a balcony high above the crowd.
Retailers who have participated in the event are Acne, bassike, camilla and marc, GINGER & SMART, Kate Sylvester, ksubi, Land’s End, MARNIE SKILLINGS, Parlour X, WORLD, Zambesi and ZIMMERMANN.
From 13 to 20 October 2011 in Sydney and from 14 to 21 October 2011 in Melbourne, new season purchases from participating stores will include an ABSOLUT MODE voucher that can be redeemed for a cocktail at select venues. Jackies Café in Paddington will be hosting the ABSOLUT MODE Bar next Thursday evening from 6pm till 10pm.

I’ve always been a fan of these limited edition bottles despite not big on drinking vodka. But somehow this year’s MODE edition seems a lil blah… guess I’ll be saving up this year. Unless I travel through another airport and have some time to my own devices. LOL

You think so? I find it very elegant and classical. The bottle looks better than it photographs. It comes in a soft navy pouch and the label around it is all class.
It probably doesn’t stand up to your Rock Edition 🙂

I love that Absolut always comes out with these limited edition bottles! Makes it so much fun and great for collectors. Im slightly obsessed with their Vanilla vodka. NOM!
