McKewen is participating as an artist in the 19th Biennale of Sydney, supported by Sofitel. The visual art festival is Australia’s largest and is held every two years, running for a three-month exhibition from 21 March to 9 June 2014.

For the duration of Sofitel’s Artist in Residence program, Soirée Bar has created a cocktail inspired by Biennale of Sydney 2014 theme, ‘You Imagine What You Desire’. The Absinthe Minded ($18) is an easy-drinking mix of peach liqueur, sparkling wine, orange juice, strawberry puree and absinthe.
