Crave Sydney International Food Festival (SIFF) launched at a cocktail party held at Flying Fish restaurant with Sydney harbour as a backdrop. The month-long food festival has close to 500 events including dinners, lunches, tours, tastings in renowned, pop-up and regional locations.

Several chefs, food personalities and media were in attendance at the launch including some of the photographers of the Shoot the Chef competition.

Joanna Savill, Festival Director, welcomed guests to the launch as did Linda Duncombe of Citibank, another major sponsor of the festival. Andrew Stoner, Deputy Premier of NSW declared the festival officially open.
Guests enjoyed the hospitality of Flying Fish restaurant, with an array of canapés and delectable seafood including Petuna Ocean Trout and freshly-cooked marron. Eat Art Truck food truck provided their signature BBQ beef in a bun with hot sauce. Gelato Cart, Hinky Dinks and Vittoria Coffee were also part of the event. A fine selection of Brown Brothers wines and Chambord cocktails flowed throughout the evening.
