Jangling Jack’s has come to Potts Point, enlivening the area as a relaxed neighbourhood bar.

The dark wood, green lampshades invite you to take a seat at the bar or maybe at the banquettes further in. On the walls there are music posters, blues posters and record covers with the music influence being no surprise with Jon Ruttan (ex-Mojo Record Bar) opening up here with Orlan Erin Raleigh.
The bar pays homage to the vibrant and colourful history of Kings Cross. The cocktails include Classics and the House List that references that history with the likes of Les Girls, The Nielsen named for Juanita Nielsen and The Witch of Kings Cross.
Kiki’s Hummingbird, Trinidad Sour
Kiki’s Hummingbird ($19 from the House) has fun with its take on the Margarita. Tequila, lime, orange blossom honey, and lime sherbet come together in a glass rimmed with a blend of icing sugar, citric acid and bicarbonate soda plus lime wheels that have been crushed into a fine powder which really animates this drink on the palate. The Trinidad Sour ($22 from the Classic) is a great balance of sour and spice from the rye whiskey, bitters and lemon orgeat. This is a must-have cocktail.
Bobby Burns
The Bobby Burns ($19 from the Classic) is a perfectly balanced cocktail of whisky, Antica Formula and Benedictine to settle in with, or as a perfect nightcap.
JJ’s Fried Chicken
To compliment the drinks, the food menu offers a selection of Small, from Bar Nuts and Confit South Australian Olives to the Chef’s selection of cured meats, cheese and pickles and Large share plates, such as Steak Frites and a rotating weekly roast. From the Small comes JJ’s Fried Chicken ($16) which is tender and moreish with chipotle honey butter.
Jangling Jack’s is a welcoming bar to catch up with friends for great cocktails, a tasty bite or for that drink on the way home in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a neighbourhood bar that makes you feel right at home.
