How hot can you go?
SoCal in Neutral Bay and Olmeca Altos Tequila have teamed up to showcase a range of tequilas, Plata and Reposado and Avion Espresso throughout the month of March.
To launch the event, SoCal is holding a Chilli Eating Competition on Tuesday March 1 where 20 contestants will take part in the challenge of eating 6 chillies, each in 30 seconds or under – with each chilli increasing in heat.
The winner will get a $250 SoCal bar tab, a bottle of Olmeca Altos tequila, a selection of SoCal’s hot sauces by Marie Sharp, and have their name engraved on the SoCal Chilli Eating trophy.
If the competition leaves you a bit hot under the collar, the Cali Tequila Shack will offer free Olmeca Altos tastings on Saturdays from 3pm and serving up Tequila flights ($20) from Wednesday to Sunday which include 2 Olmeca tequilas expressions and Avion Espresso.
The Cali Tequila Shack will be open out on the outdoor terrace Wednesday-Fridays from 5pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm.
Festivities kick off from 4pm for the Chilli Eating Competition with food and drink specials while the competition will start at 7pm.
