Edible Fashion launched at Westfield Sydney where top Australian designers and chefs from the shopping centre have joined their creative and culinary talents to present the inaugural edible garments collection.

The pop-up exhibition features five designer garments created from food and curated and styled by events specialist, David Grant. The media launch was hosted by Melissa Hoyer and brought together chefs and designers for the unveiling of their creations.

The free exhibition runs for one week only and showcases the fusion of food and fashion and the unique collaboration of chefs and designers.
Neon Italia
Ginger & Smart with Alessandro Pavoni (Spiedo Restaurant and Bar): Calico dress with a risoni pasta crust, glazed with neon green paint and garnished with silver floral detail.
A Galan of Shells
Arthur Galan with John Susman (Cloudy Bay Fish Co.): Kinkawooka mussels and Cloudy Bay clam shells, on a silk tie, side slouch blouse finished with a pair of tight fitting nori-seaweed, leather inspired pants.
Grecian Fantasia
Leona Edmiston with David Tsirekas (Xanthi): Hand crafted apricot and lavender meringue dress sprinkled with sugar-coated edible flowers, representing the chef’s dessert menu.
Sesame Rocks
One Teaspoon with Amy Chanta (Chat Thai): a sexy black-sesame bikini top paired with One Teaspoon’s signature denim shorts, hand woven using aromatic Pandan leaves.
The Dinner Suit
M.J. Bale with Justin North (Quarter Twenty One): charcoal black wool suit encrusted with black peppercorns, trimmed with nigella seeds then layered onto a sea-salt shirt.

The Edible Fashion Collection runs from Thursday 5 to 12 July 2012 at the Australian Designer Gallery on Level Four of Westfield Sydney. Enter from the corner of Castlereagh and Market Streets and take the escalator up one floor to Level Four.
