Tio’s Mezcal Mini Fest

Tio’s Mezcal Mini Fest (previously Mezcal March) is back for 2017, an agave-appreciation event showcasing spirits from some of Australia’s best mezcal importers.

Tio's Mezcal Mini Fest

Taking place on Sunday 2 April at Tio’s in Surry Hills, agave fans – novices and veterans alike – will have a rare opportunity to taste some unique spirits as a cocktail or a signature serve as well as discuss all things agave with some of the most knowledgeable mezcal experts in the country.

If you’ve been to last year’s event, you know you wouldn’t want to miss this one. The tasting takes place from 2pm until 5pm then the festivities kick on with a party until 10pm with food and other drinks specials.

For the month leading up to the Mezcal Mini Fest, tap into the expert knowledge of the team at Tio’s and savour the different flavours of mezcal from various agave plants such as agave karwinskii, agave potatorum, ensamble, agave cenizo and agave angustifolia.

If cocktails are more your thing, a special Mezcal cocktail list includes Luna Azul (Alipus, Violette, Grapefruit, Hefeweizen, Citrus), Marita (Burrito Fiestero, Luxardo, Pineapple, Plum Grenadine, Citrus), Guadalupe (Derrumbes, Rhum, Coconut, Cane, Citrus) and Tecero (Montelobos, 3 Ginger Cordial, Citrus) priced at $17 each.
