The Little Book of Sydney Villages

The Little Book of Sydney Villages by the City of Sydney was launched by Lord Mayor Clover Moore at Koskela in Rosebery. The pocket sized publication focuses on the food, shopping and must see and do experiences that go beyond the tourist track.

The booklet celebrates the diversity of businesses in Sydney’s villages spanning Central Sydney, East, West and South and serves as a guide for both residents and visitors. Each section lists a variety of businesses under Eat/Drink, See and Shop. Among the many villages and their specialities, you’ll find information on Walsh Bay, Glebe, Pyrmont, Newtown and Chippendale just to name a few.

The launch event was held at Koskela which houses Kitchen by Mike and is part of Rosebery’s Cannery Precinct. Following the official speeches, the event included a tour of the recently-opened Archie Rose Distilling Co as well as a tasting of the Archie Rose Vodka, Gin and White Rye.

The Little Book of Sydney Villages is available in English and Chinese at several city venues including major hotels, information kiosks, libraries and neighbourhood centres and will soon be available online.

The launch event was held on Thursday 26 March 2015.
