The spring racing season kicked off in style at the elegant Langham Hotel in Sydney with the launch of The Season by Laurent-Perrier champagne.
Guests were welcomed with Laurent-Perrier Brut on arrival at Galileo Restaurant before enjoying a host of delicious canapes, freshly-shucked oysters, and a delectable selection of cheese. Laurent-Perrier 2004 was served throughout the night as guests and celebrities mingled surrounded by beautiful flower settings by Pearsons Florist.
From November 2 to November 9, all of the 2013 Spring Racing action will be broadcast live from Flemington direct to The Langham, Sydney which will be hosting a series of events:
Melbourne Cup Lunch – Tuesday November 5
A glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne on arrival before a 2 course lunch. Extravagant prizes for best dressed man, best dressed woman, best hat and best tie.
Time: 12:00pm onwards
Cost: $79 includes entrée tasting plate, choice main and glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut on arrival ($94 includes dessert)
Champagne Tiffin Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea and a complimentary upgrade from Laurent-Perrier Brut to The Season’s wine of the month, Laurent-Perrier Vintage.
Time: Daily, 10:00am – 5:00pm (weekdays), 12:30pm – 2:30pm (Saturdays) and 3:00pm – 5:00pm (Sunday and Public Holidays)
Cost: Includes a full Champagne Tiffin Tea and glass of Laurent-Perrier Vintage $64 (weekdays) and $74 (weekends)
Champagne and Oysters
A glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut and a trio of freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters with Champagne vinaigrette in the Globe Bar and Brasserie.
Time: Daily from 12:00pm
Cost: $25
The Season Champagne Degustation
A five course degustation at Galileo Restaurant with matching wine or Champagne.
Time: November 27 at 6:30pm
Cost: $159
