The Champagne Room has launched in partnership with Perrier-Jouët champagne, bringing elegance and glamour to the Keystone venue.
The Champagne Room, Surry Hills
Located on the upper level of The Winery, the Champagne Room is the only venue in Sydney serving Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque by the flute or by the bottle.
Perrier-Jouët Trees
Semi-circular booths and Perrier-Jouët trees give the venue a sophisticated and inviting vibe to relax with some of France’s finest bubbles.
Press for Champagne
“Press for Champagne” is set to become the most pressed button in Sydney this summer. Ring the brass button and it lights up behind the bar.
Chris Sheehy, Perrier-Jouët Ambassador
At an intimate champagne tasting, Perrier-Jouët Ambassador Chris Sheehy introduced Maison Perrier-Jouët, founded in 1811 by the marriage of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Adèle Jouët. The house style is based on the elegance, crispness and freshness that the Chardonnay grape brings to the wine.
Guest were welcomed with Perrier-Jouët Grand Cru Brut NV, oysters and prawns before being treated to a special tasting of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque and Perrier-Jouët Blason Rosé NV.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 1999 Jeroboam
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque is a prestige cuvée made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Starting with Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2006, the tasting moved onto the 2004 vintage from a Magnum and onto a surprise 1999 vintage from a Jeroboam (3 litres). The latter had begun to show more evidence of minerality and structure reminiscent of those of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 1985.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rose
The Champagne Room offers a range of Perrier-Jouët and GH Mumm Champagne including some rare vintages such as Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2002, with the 2006 available by the flute.
Keystone’s Sommelier Sarah Limacher brings an impressive list of premium Australian and international wines while cocktails by Keystone Group Bars Manager, Jason Williams have a French and New Orleans touch, such as the Marie Antoinette, made with gin, baked apple bitters, lemon and rose milk syrup.
The Champagne Room’s food menu features Da Vinci, Oscietra and Sturgeon Caviar, freshly-shucked oysters, Raw Harvey Bay Scallops and Venison Tartare along with Black Angus Scotch Fillet and whole lobster tail with tarragon, mac and cheese.
