The Bucket List Bondi Beach: Pop-Up Bar and Eatery

Sydney has well embraced the pop-up concept and one of the latest to grace our shores is The Bucket List. Occupying a prime position at Bondi Beach along the Bondi Pavilion, the pop-up bar and eatery with an indoor and outdoor space is proving very popular with Sydney-siders.

Leather lounges on wheels, milk crate chairs, tables made of stacked wooden pallets and the odd lime green chairs contribute to its relaxed vibe. Food and drink are ordered at the bar and a large kitchen serves up the food without too long a waiting period.

The Bucket List drinks menu offers a choice of two Pommery champagnes, four white wines, reds and a rosé. All wines are $8.50 by the glass or $42 a bottle. Cocktails are priced at $15 each and include popular choices such as the Mojito, Caprioska, Margarita, Bloody Mary and the Moscow Mule. A choice of beer is also available on tap.

The food menu is kept light with dishes such as marinated and grilled chicken ribs, toasted bikini with prosciutto, mozzarella and truffle, fish and chips and plates to share such as the Moorish salt bush lamb skewers – tender pieces of spicy lamb served on a bed of aioli.

More substantial dishes include the Barramundi fillet with confit of cherry tomatoes and the Scotch fillet. Dessert offers a choice of crème brûlée and yoghurt and buttermilk pannacotta.

Sydney needs more places like The Bucket List. The casual vibe and prime location a few steps from the sand make it an ideal place to go for drinks and watch the ever changing colours of the sky at sundown.
