The 3 Winos

The 3 Winos – Combined Wines, Winestock and World Wine Estates – held their annual trade showcase presenting their vast range of local and international wines and champagnes. The event took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney with day-long tastings, a masterclass and a wine clinic.

The Crystal Head Vodka and Cloudy Bay Clam Bar was a popular attraction of the day. The bar served Crystal Head Vodka Bloody Mary’s in miniature skull glasses and freshly-opened clams on arrival. Crystal Head Vodka was launched last year by co-founder Dan Aykroyd when he visited Sydney.

Fishtales attracted a regular queue for the delicious and decadent paella made with sustainable seafood. Cobram Estate presented their range of olive oils for taste including the new Cobram Estate First Harvest, a fresh extra virgin olive oil with strong grassy notes and very little spice.

The “Desert Island Wines” was a chance to try some of the rarer drops and chat to industry experts such as Mike Bennie, Franck Moreau and Huon Hooke.

It was full house at the Sullivans Cove Whisky Masterclass with Bert Cason presenting a gripping discussion and tasting of the range of Sullivans Cove whiskies including the award winning French Oak Cask, recently named the world’s best single malt whisky at the World Whiskies Awards in London.

The 3 Winos Event was held on Monday 4 August 2014 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney.
