Since I Left You Relaunches as SILY with New Look & Menu

Sydney Bar Since I Left You has re-launched as SILY with a new food and cocktail menu, refurbished interiors and lunchtime trade as part of the new changes for the CBD venue and in time for its 6th birthday.

With a new logo and brand identity, the revamped interiors feature murals from Scott Marsh, Presto and Jimmy Nice while the courtyard has ferns watched over by a towering 18 metre-high Fintan Magee mural.

The Bar

The drinks menu includes SILY signature cocktails and a “Try Something Different” list featuring spirits such as Becherovka, Vermouth, Pisco and Mezcal. You’ll also find a slick wine list of predominantly organic and low-intervention wines, and a strong selection of local brews.

Belon

Belon ($10) is a good place to start, Becherovka and Tonic with lemon and rosemary. Think of it as a winter style gin and tonic with the Becherovka lending a warm and spicy note.

OSCAR.697 Vermouth Rosso

The excellent OSCAR.697 Vermouth Rosso comes served on ice with slice of orange and olive ($12).

Negronly Way is Up

For a smoky riff on the Negroni, try the Negronly Way is Up ($20) with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Oscar.697 Rosso and Gran Classico Bitter.

Cherry Wine

Don’t expect wine when you order the Cherry Wine ($18). The cocktail beautifully balances the Woodford Reserve Bourbon notes with Cherry Heering, Maraschino liqueur, red wine and lemon. The sour style drink is by far the favourite cocktail on the list.

The Donny Jaffaway

… while The Donny Jaffaway ($20) with Michter’s Bourbon, Picon and Creme de Cacao hits the right chocolate spot.

Trading at lunchtime from 11am – 2pm on weekdays, SILY is serving up their signature range of gourmet toasties alongside a new menu that can be enjoyed in-house or takeaway.

These include Poke bowls, and a range of waffled delights including Waffalafels (waffled falafels) and a Mac ‘n Cheese Waffle. Here’s a snapshot of the food menu.

In the meantime, you can enjoy the new look, along with regular entertainment, including Trivia Tuesdays, Live Music Thursdays on the Garden Stage, monthly courtyard gigs called The SILY Sessions, and the soon-to-be-launched SILY Hip-Hop Brunch with bottomless cocktails, a delicious lunch, and the chance to strut your stuff in the Hip-Hop Karaoke.
