Rye July at the Glenmore Hotel

The Glenmore Hotel in The Rocks is hosting its second annual Rye July series starting from 1 July through 31 July.

Rye July

A special whiskey menu is available throughout the month as well as the Night of Whiskies on Thursday 14 July, a ticketed event where The Glenmore’s middle level will become whiskey central with local and international tastings, meet the makers, cocktail masterclasses, and canapes matched with whiskey.

Each room of The Glenmore’s middle level will host a different whiskey activation on the night. These include a Johnnie Walker room with  National Johnnie Walker and Classic Malt Ambassador, Sean Baxter, as well as American, Irish and Scottish whiskies on taste. If you like to try your hand at making cocktails, Tim Oughton, Diageo brand ambassador will host cocktail masterclasses where you can learn to use rye whiskey in cocktails. Each room will have an old fashion rye pre-batch in barrels, available to taste or order.

The Glenmore Night of Whiskies is on Thursday, 14 July 2016 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. Tickets cost $55 and include a tasting glass and five tokens.
