Russell’s Reserve has teamed with local artisans Bas and Lokes and G.A. Zink & Sons to host two ‘Bond Made in Bourbon’ masterclasses to celebrate the father-son bond between Jimmy and Eddie Russell, the father-son Master Distillers behind Russell’s Reserve.
Two masterclasses by different crafts people will be held on Thursday, 6 September 2018 and Thursday, 20 September 2018.
The first masterclass will be hosted by family leathermakers Bas & Lokes on Thursday, 6 September 2018. They will demonstrate how they combine modern style with traditional knowledge for handcrafting leather goods that are built to go the distance, showcasing this through a wallet making demonstration. Guests will also take away an exclusive gift bag, including a pre-batched Boulevardier.
The second Bond Made in Bourbon masterclass will be hosted by sixth generation Sydney tailors Zink & Sons on Thursday, 20 September 2018. Daniel Jones of father-son duo Robert and Daniel will showcase how he takes meticulous care in creating high quality, bespoke garments through a suit jacket making demonstration. Guests will have the opportunity to be measured for their own Zink & Sons shirts, and receive 50% off their own bespoke shirt (RRP $295). They will also take away an exclusive gift bag, including a pre-batched Boulevardier and 50% off a bespoke shirt with G.A. Zink & Sons (RRP $295).
Each Bond Made in Bourbon event will include a special bourbon masterclass, run by a Russell’s Reserve Brand Ambassador. Guests can enjoy a Boulevardier cocktail on arrival and a tasting of Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel and 10-Year-Old.
Drinks will be enjoyed alongside a menu featuring Smoked salmon and horseradish socca; Pulled beef croquette and wholegrain mustard mayonnaise; Truffled croque monsieur; Buttermilk fried chicken wings; and Almond, bourbon and burnt orange cake. Take a look at the menu here.
Russell’s Reserve Bond Made in Bourbon masterclasses will take place at Kittyhawk (16 Phillip Lane, Sydney) on Thursday 6 September and Thursday 20 September 2018 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. Tickets cost $49.
