Roll’d Vietnamese has rolled into Randwick, the first Melbourne-based franchise to open in Sydney.
Part of Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, you won’t find it inside the mall but along Belmore Road with street frontage.

The eatery is open and inviting with a long shared tables, bar seating overlooking the street as well as smaller tables and chairs.

Roll’d serves Vietnamese street food and you’ll find popular staples such as rice paper rolls, bahn mi, pho and salads among many others. Many dishes are offered with a choice of chilli which comes fresh and adds a good measure of heat. This is a self-service eatery where you order at the register and your buzzer lights up when your order is ready.
Rolld Soldiers Soft Shell Crab
Rice paper rolls are called Rolld Soldiers ($3 to $3.90) and come with a choice of six fillings including tofu, Barramundi and Pork and Prawn. They’re large and filling and the Soft Shell Crab ($3.90 each) with garlic chilli oil is the pick of the lot.
Mr Bun Mee Roast Pork and Crackling
Mr Bun Mee Roast Pork and Crackling ($9.50) hits the right spot, with a mixture of crispy crackling pieces, soft pork meat, salad and condiments in a tasty crusty bread roll. Other choices include BBQ chicken, tofu and Mama Hoang’s meatballs with an option of extra meat for $2.
Banh Xeo Lemongrass Beef
The Banh Xeo Lemongrass and Beef ($7.90) is a flavour bomb, a savoury fried pancake with fragrant pieces of beef, lettuce and bean shoots with optional chilli.
Uncle Pho Beef
Pho comes in an option of cup or bowl, and the Uncle Pho Beef ($11.90 bowl) has a delicately-flavoured stock, light and clear with thin slices of just-cooked beef that is tender and flavoursome.
Rolld is a welcome addition to Sydney’s eastern suburbs.The food is fresh and flavoursome, the service is fast and there’s an option for dining in takeaway and catering.
Roll’d Randwick is open for lunch and dinner with more stores set to open in Sydney in the near future.
