One Moncur Wine Bar in Woollahra celebrated its first anniversary with a relaunch event that introduced a new team and a new bistro menu.
One Moncur Wine Bar
Dropping the word “champagne” from its name, One Moncur Wine Bar is now managed by new co-owner Adam Harris whose Sydney and London credentials include Ananas, The Cut Bar & Grill, Sake, the Four Seasons in Sydney and The Freemasons Arms in London.
Gustavo Kroneis, Head Sommelier
New head sommelier, Gustavo Kroneis ex Pony Dining, Steel Bar & Grill and The Cut Bar & Grill, has introduced a new and extensive wine list which will feature a rotating selection of exciting boutique wines with organic and biodynamic options.
Champagne still features on the wine list with a focus on some of the best grower champagne with over 30 champagnes by the bottle and six by the glass, such as Lallier Blanc de Blanc and Mailly Blanc de Noirs.
The bar is expanding the food offering with a new seasonal bistro menu created by James Privett, previouly head chef at Bistro Moncur and Bistro CBD. The new menu includes beef tartare with smoked paprika, and toast ($24), beef cheek with cabbage and mustard verde ($28) and poached salmon with rocket, tomato, olives and Kipfler potatoes ($18).
With a new approach and key changes in progress, One Moncur Wine Bar is set to become a favourite in the Sydney food and wine scene.
