Hands and Chefs on the Sydney Opera House

Living in Sydney has its perks. After the Sydney Opera House’s green dress on St Patrick’s Day and Vivid Sydney last year, comes another architectural visual delight. Last night’s jazz concert with Branford Marsalis and his Quartet at the Sydney Opera House, we were greeted to a spectacle of colour and shadow. Projections animated the Sydney Opera House sails with red hand prints. Silhouettes of people moved over the sail including those of chefs in uniform.

Not carrying a tripod, these aren’t the sharpest of photographs but they remain a memento of a balmy Sydney night.

Update: The projections on the Sydney Opera House on Friday 19 March 2010 were part of the launch of Generation One, an initiative to eliminate Indigenous poverty and disadvantage. More information from the Generation One website.
