The GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2013 were held at the Ivy Ballroom last night with comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee jointly taking out the title of GQ Man of the Year.

Other awards were presented throughout the evening to celebrate the achievements of Australia’s leading gentlemen (and one woman) across film, music, sport, fashion, entertainment and cuisine. The GQ 2013 Men of the Year winners are:

Men of Chivalry Award – Adam Goodes

Icon of the Year – Russell Crowe

Visionary of the Year – Baz Luhrmann
Breakthrough of the Year – Jai Courtney
Inspiration of the Year – James Magnussen
Artist of the Year – Ben Quilty
Chef of the Year – Colin Fassnidge
Man of Style – Jarrod Scott
TV Actor – Matt Le Nevez (Offspring)
Creative Force of the Year – Curtis Stone
The Chivalry Toast by Max Warner, Chivas Global Ambassador
At the conclusion of the awards, Chivas Global Ambassador, Max Warner took to the stage for the customary Chivalry Toast, raising a glass of with Chivas 18 yo with a perfect ice sphere.

A selection of Chivas cocktails were served throughout the evening by The Drink Cabinet. ‘Chivalry’, a refreshing drink with flavours of apple, lemon and elderflower complemented by Chivas 12 was served on arrival. This was followed by the Blood and Velvet, a delicious adaptation of the classic Blood and Sand, made with Chivas 12, Lillet Rouge and Blood Orange.
The afterparty was held at the Ivy Den with two dedicated Chivas bars serving drinks well into the night, including Chivas 25 yo on hand-chiselled ice.
