The Beefeater MIXLDN Global Bartender Competition Australia Final for 2014 was held at The Barber Shop in Sydney with Rodrigo “Rory” Vega of Hello Sailor taking the title.

Twelve bartenders from around Australia competed for the title with Tom Egerton (Eau de Vie), Nick Selvadurai (Cookie), Lee Potter Cavanagh (Akiba), Oscar Eastman (1806), Jimmy Irvine (Shady Pines), Pez Collier (Lychee Lounge), Quynh Van Nguyen (China Diner), Cristiano Beretta (The Rook), Jonathan Minihan (The Toff in Town), John Davidson Jr (The Barber Shop) and Russell Downie (Palmer & Co).
Competitors and Judges
Judging the competition were Tim Stones, Global Ambassador for Beefeater, Jason Williams Group Bar Manager for the Keystone Group and winner of the Beefeater 24 Global Bartender competition for 2013 and Ben Davidson, Spirits Ambassador, Pernod Ricard Australia.
Competitors had to make one drink using Beefeater Dry or Beefeater 24 and to use London, the home of Beefeater Gin, as influence for their creation.
Rodrigo Vega will attend The Beefeater MIXLDN Global Final in London between the 13th – 15th of January 2015.
