Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon

Sydney Fish Market has announced its spectacular 36-Hour Seafood Marathon is back for its 24th year in 2019, with Australia’s home of seafood set to open non-stop from 5:00am on Monday, 23 December, through to 5:00pm on Tuesday, 24 December.

Sydney Fish Market

A Christmas ritual for many, the extended trading hours mean shoppers wanting to snap up the freshest and tastiest seafood this Christmas can trawl Sydney Fish Market day or night, at a time that best suits them.

More than 100,000 visitors are expected to participate in this year’s marathon in search of the ‘perfect catch’ for their festive feasts. With a focus on provenance, shoppers can buy from Australia’s largest range of fresh seafood sourced from all over Australia, from Christmas favourites like prawns, oysters and scallops, to options like king crab, whole market fish, rock lobster and marron.

Visitors can find much more than just seafood, which is a one-stop shop for Christmas produce, including high quality fruit and vegetables, scrumptious Christmas turkey’s, fresh bread, fine deli goods, and premium wine and beer; all of which are available via the extensive range of retailers onsite.

Santa will make special appearances at the Market on Monday, 23 December from 11:00am – 1:00pm, and Tuesday, 24 December from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
