Christmas is nearly upon us and David Jones, Australia’s oldest department store, is attracting the eager young and old to the Christmas window display on the Elizabeth Street store.
Little Drummer Boy
Continuing with a similar theme to last year’s Christmas display, popular Christmas carols as well as animated nativity scenes are popular with the crowds. The best time to view the display is in the evening when there is less reflection in the windows.
It may not be as elaborate as the Christmas windows at Galeries Lafayette in Paris but the main window display with the happy camels is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Wawww…!!! Its a very nice pics. I have never seen before. I love this pics so much.
Everyone knows that even after centuries of celebrations, a few festivals have kept their charms & gaiety intact; Christmas is one such festival when spirits are high and excitement is uncurbed,
David Jones do well with their window displays – they’re very popular every year.
I did hear a rumour that Xmas was coming. Now it’s been confirmed!
Yes, the big man in the red suit is on his way!
Christmas windows are so fun – they make me feel like a child again 🙂 You’re right, the ones in Paris are quite elaborate, but these ones from David Jones look very pretty as well. Thanks for sharing & bon weekend my dear!
They can’t compare to Paris, by any shot. But for us in this part of the world, they still get you in the Christmas spirit!
It actually does make you feel like a little kid again it also feels like your with jesus In those days
Ha, cute! But don’t you also celebrate xmas in July down there or some such nonsense?!
We do this nonsense as well, although I’ve never been part of it. Christmas is enough once a year…
Christmas at DJs takes me back to when I was a boy! Thanks for the photos they’re great.
Thanks Craig! I think they bring out the child in us at times…
