Launching last night at The Village Inn in Paddington, the venue was beautifully transformed by Yakusan into a tropical paradise with lush greenery, Jamaican rhythms, rum cocktails and delicious Jamaican food.

Three Appleton Estate Rum expressions were on taste will Ollie Stuart, National Brand Ambassador, Campari Australia. Starting with the versatile Appleton Estate Signature Blend, moving on t the excellent Appleton Estate Reserve Blend and Appleton Estate 12 YO, each rum was paired with Willie’s Chocolate to bring out key flavour characteristics of the rum.

The four cocktails featured at The Village Inn were The Grand Discovery ($15), Appleton Estate Signature Blend, white peach, fresh lime and almond flavours served tall; From Jamaica with Love ($15), Appleton Estate Signature Blend, passionfruit, fresh citrus and pineapple served short over ice; The Trail Less Travelled ($15), Appleton Estate Signature Blend, cranberry and pomegranate juice, with fresh lemon and cherry served tall; and Jamaican Stormy ($10), Appleton Estate Signature Blend, fresh lime and ginger beer served short over ice.

Tasty Jamaican bites included skewered chicken, Jamaican beef patties and Caribbean fried calamari.

The Appleton Trail is a progressive activation of Appleton Estate Rum across three Sydney bars starting at The Village Inn in Paddington from November 20-21, then moving to Sweethearts Rooftop from November 27-28 and ending at Taylors Bar in Sydney CBD on December 4-5.
