Top 10 Picks for Taste of Sydney 2015

Taste of Sydney is back for 2015 at Centennial Park in Sydney and we’ve taken the guess work out of choosing what to squeeze into a 4 hour Taste session. Here are our top 10 picks for Taste of Sydney 2015, listed in no particular order.

1. Take your taste buds on a journey through some of Sydney’s best restaurants including Pei Modern, Jonah’s, Café Paci, Bloodwood, Bentley Restaurant and Bar, Bang, Efendy, Porteno, and MoVida.

2. Attend a cooking demonstration in the Electrolux Taste Theatre with some of Sydney’s top chefs. There are over four free demonstrations per Taste session and learn cooking tips from chefs including  Massimo Mele of La Scala, Peter Conistis of Alpha and Shimpei Hatanaka of Saké Restaurant & Bar.

3. Pop into Sammy’s Travelling Roadhouse, the Swillhouse Group’s pop-up bar for drink from the boys behind Shady Pines Saloon, The Baxter Inn and Frankie’s Pizza.

4. Join a King Street Wharf Master Class as you taste your way through venues such as Cargo Lounge, The Loft, The Malaya, Kobe Jones, Meat District Co., Steerson’s Steakhouse, George’s Mediterranean Bar and Grill. The sessions are free to attend and run for 30 mins.

5. Enjoy a Taste of Europe with Celebrity Cruises’ Food & Beverage Matching Masterclass as the cruise liner will take you on a culinary journey through Spain, Italy, France and Greece.

6. Sample from 18 Maille mustard varieties at La Maison Maille.

7. Quench your thirst for craft beer at the Time Out Hop Up. The Time Out Kitchen will also host Bloodwood (Thurs & Fri), BANG (Sat) and Café Paci (Sun) to compliment the beer.

8. Explore the Artisan Market with its tempting stalls and quality produce.

9. Learn from The Wine Society’s resident expert at the Wine Society marquee. Sessions include Wine Pouring, Wine Tasting, and Food and Wine Matching.

10. Upgrade your Taste of Sydney experience with the Platinum Pass for fast-tracked access, enjoy the Platinum Garden Bar enclosure and receive $30 of Crowns and three complimentary drinks.

Taste of Sydney 2015 runs from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 March at Centennial Park in the Brazilian Fields near Loch Avenue and Dickens Drive. Entry is via tickets starting at $25.49 advance price and $30.59 at the door. To purchase food and drink, crowns are the currency used where 1 Crown = $1.
