The Mix It to Fix It Bartender Competition for 2014 was held yesterday at theloft with Grace West of Pocket Bar winning first prize with her cocktail “You Beu-Tea”.

Paige Aubort of The Lobo Plantation came in second followed by Stephanie Haile of Mojo Record Bar in third place.
The Competitors
Twelve female bartenders competed in three separate rounds. Each competitor had her own pop up bar and created two cocktails for the judges. Sample cocktails were sold at $2 each with 20% of the money raised contributing to the overall score.

The judges were Natalie Ng (last year’s winner), Corinne Mossati (Gourmantic and last year’s judge) and Barbe Dolan (Ambassador for National Breast Foundation and cancer survivor). The judges’ scores contributed to 80% of the total tally.
The female bartender competition is a ticketed event run annually by Bacardi Lion and raises much-needed funds with all proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
