The Woodford Reserve Mother’s Day Polo Classic was held yesterday at the Kurri Burri Polo Club at the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Richmond.

With its wrought-iron canopy, hanging wisteria and fragrant magnolias, the Woodford Reserve pavilion was the place to be, a space transformed into a Southern style home by AZB Creative.
Delicious Woodford Reserve Bourbon cocktails were served throughout the day including the refreshing Kentucky Apple, with cloudy apple and mint, Woodford Hook with Tuaca, Agave nectar and fresh lemon juice, and the classic Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned with orange and bitters.
A host of celebrities attended the Woodford Reserve pavilion including Nicole Trunfio, Blanche d’Alpuget and former Prime Minister Bob Hawke while Mahalia Barnes, music legend Jimmy Barnes’ daughter provided entertainment.
Kris Smith, Woodford Reserve Polo Ambassador and the face of Myer stepped behind the bar with Stuart Reeves, Brown-Forman Brand Ambassador to prepare Woodford Reserve cocktails for Bob Hawke and Blanche d’Alpuget.
Guests were treated to an assortment of delicacies by Hive Catering such as mini eggs Benedict, Woodford Reserve glazed ham, southern-fried popcorn chicken with Woodford Reserve honey mustard, and salted caramel wagon wheels.
The event came to an end with the announcement of the Woodford Reserve Fashions on the Field winners and the winning team from Sydney polo before guests were transported back to Sydney.
