Suntory Cup NSW Finals 2013

The NSW Suntory Cup 2013 NSW state final was held at the Oxford Art Factory in Darlinghurst last night. Five bartenders from NSW competed for the title with industry guests attending the packed out event.

Five bartenders competed for the title, each was allocated half an hour to prepare and serve as many of their cocktails for the guests. Jason Williams from The Rook took out the first prize with Michael Nouri from Vasco in second place and Jonathon Carr from The Wild Rover in the third spot. Other contestants were Evan Brown from Embers Bar, Aaron Edmonds ex Rabbit Hole Bar & Dining.

The national final ‘Cocktail Connoisseur’ bartender competition will be held in Sydney later in the year. The winner will be awarded with a trip to Japan visiting cocktail bars and distilleries with $1000 spending money.
