World Class Australia 2012 Winner

The winner of the World Class Australia competition for 2012 was announced last night at a soirée held at the Roosevelt Cocktail Bar and Restaurant.

Ten finalists competed in five challenges over three days for the coveted title including the Cocktail and Food Pairing at Sokyo.

Before announcing the winner, Sven Almenning, Owner Behind Bars/Speakeasy Group, spoke for his passion for the competition and described it as the vehicle to lift bartenders into the serious realms that chefs enjoy today.

Congratulations to Tim Philips from Hemmesphere in NSW on winning World Class Australia 2012. He will be going to Rio to compete in the World Class global finals in July.
