With the festive season nearly upon us, we’ve rounded five of the best new summer drinks and cocktails to enjoy on lazy afternoons and long hot summer nights.

Take your taste buds to Sicily with the taste of Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur made from blood oranges picked from sun-drenched groves on the slopes of Mt. Etna. Enjoy neat on ice or as Solerno Signature Serve with sparkling wine. In a large wine glass filled with ice, add 1 part Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur and 5 parts of Sparkling Wine and garnish with an orange slice.

3. Berry Merry Moscato

[yellow tail] ‘s Red Moscato Bubbles is a light and refreshing sparkling wine that can easily be turned into a festive drink. To make the Berry Merry Moscato, you’ll need 1 bottle of [yellow tail] Red Moscato bubbles, 1 cup of cranberry juice, 5 sprigs of rosemary and ice cubes. Slowly blend a chilled bottle of [yellow tail] Red Moscato Bubbles with 1 cup of chilled cranberry juice. Pour into glasses over ice and add a sprig of rosemary for garnish.

4. New Year’s Fizz

Also from [yellow tail], the New Year’s Fizz celebrates summer flavours. To make you’ll need 1 bottle of [yellow tail] Moscato Bubbles, 1 cup of lemonade, 1 punnet of raspberries, ½ cup of basil, 1 Lemon, sliced. Slowly blend a chilled bottle of [yellow tail] Moscato Bubbles with 1 cup of chilled lemonade. Pour into glasses over ice and add raspberries, sliced lemon and a few fresh basil leaves for garnish.

5. Kakubin High Ball

Destined to be the big hit of summer, Suntory’s Kakubin Highball is a light and refreshing drink and an alternative to beer and wine. Even if whisky is not your spirit of choice, this drink is set to convert you. It’s easy to make. In a glass or mug, simply squeeze lemon over ice,  top with 30 ml of Kakubin then 120 ml of cold soda water.
