Bidding farewell to people you love at airports is not a pleasant experience. But when good friends living in Japan visit Sydney, or another close friend is departing to get married in Sweden, spending every minute with them before departure is paramount.
Terrace Bar and Brasserie
The Terrace Bar and Brasserie is located before Customs at Terminal 1 of Sydney International Airport. The spacious venue has an indoor area and an outdoor beer garden which overlooks the tarmac and has its own bar. The decor has a 70’s feel to it, with bright and bold colours designed to keep you awake.
Outdoor/Indoor
The bar has 12 beers on tap, a large selection of spirits, wines and sparkling by the glass. Cocktails ($15) are kept simple with the likes of a Mojito, Caprioska, Toblerone and Iced Tea varieties. There’s even a Bloody Mary should you need a hangover cure before you board your flight.
Breakfast is served from 5am until 11am every day, and pizzas, classic pub fare and kids meals make up the rest of the menu.
If you’re looking for a bar to have a last drink with friends before they board, The Terrace Bar & Brasserie takes the sting out of saying goodbye.
